An essential piece of cinema in today’s time, that’s what NAKKASH is all about, says the talented actor Inaamulhaq who won accolades with FILMISTAAN and AIRLIFT.

Playing a Muslim craftsman who uses his craft of engraving in the Hindu Temples in Banaras, NAKKASH is an ode to the divine Ganga-Jamuni tehzeeb (a fusion of Hindu and Muslim elements). The movie revolves around the impact of changing religious and political scenario on his life. Recently the first look of Inaamulhaq's upcoming movie NAKKASH was unveiled at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in the presence of Mr. Jean-Francois Bess, President AFPF (Association Francaise des Producteurs de Films) along with Bollywood stalwarts like Subhash Ghai, Prasoon Joshi, Divya Dutta and Huma Qureshi at the Indian Pavillion. The evening was hosted by actor Sharad Kelkar. Indian Pavilion is a platform where art and culture if India is encouraged every year under the supervision of Ministry of information and broadcasting.
